Midas Hilo

Great experience with Midas in Hilo. I had them replace the cap, plugs, and coil, and they did a great job. The car has been running really well. Shortly afterward, I noticed a rattling sound when the car was in reverse. Since it started around the same time, I thought it might be related to the work Midas had done. I had also had my brake rotors replaced by another mechanic around that time. Midas checked it out and determined that the rattle was actually coming from the brake rotor work, not anything they had done. Even though they knew it wasn’t their fault, they still fixed the problem for me at no charge. I really appreciated them going above and beyond like that. Great service, honest people, and I would definitely recommend the Hilo Midas.

Sean and Lori are very helpful, including the mechanics are through. Sean was very helpful in assisting answering price inquiries and scheduling an appointment. Lori was helpful when i did a diagnostic and was very informational on what forms I was filling out and what needed to be done next including resources. The mechanic that did my diagnostic was through and informed Lori all the things that needed attention on my car. Mahalo Midas!

I was on the way to Hilo this AM for a Dentist appointment, and my PSI on the passenger rear was “2” and then dropped to “1” after I had pulled over. I had no idea my tire had a screw inside & was slowly leaking air. My significant other came to my aid & was attempting to place the donut on my car, however the last time my vehicle had been serviced was by a car dealership and a power tool was used during the rotation of my tires which meant it was near impossible for a human to manually remove the lug nuts. Thankfully we found a small air pressure machine & gauge in his car & he was able to fill the tire to 37 PSI. I then called Midas (whom my significant other recommended to me) to explain the situation & see if there would be any availability. I was told it was a pretty booked day, no promises can be made, however I was still referred to another business in hopes to get me taken care of regardless. That spoke huge in my eyes. The individual I spoke to was upfront with me & was trying his best to assist me even if it meant Midas didn’t get my business. Once I arrived to Midas, I was told it’s possible that I may need a brand new tire, or a patch and that alongside the potential p
